Russian Defense Minister Sergei B. Ivanov warns that the United States' decision to withdraw from the Antiballistic Missile Treaty with Russia could threaten international stability by freeing other nations to end peace agreements.
Analysts warn that the US decision to unilaterally pull out of the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty will confirm China's worst fears that the world's remaining superpower intends to dominate the post-Cold War period which "will lead China to further modernize its strategic arsenal and strengthen Beijing's efforts with Moscow to oppose Washington's "hegemonic" aspirations."
