The head of U.S. Space Command, Four-Star General Lance Lord, argued that the U.S. wasn't pursuing space weapons but "offensive and defensive measures to protect the country's satellites and military technologies."

Scientists who have successfully cloned animals know that attempts to clone humans are coming next -- and most want them stopped. They've discovered that cloning routinely produces malformed animals, and they fear human cloning will do the same. Among the problems are high mortality before and shortly after birth, extreme obesity, and heart and lung defects. To inflict that on humans is morally wrong, they argue.
